Kamilah Jones is a Chicago based illustrator passionate about alternative fashion. Much of her work is adding to that culture whether that is through apparel, comics, accessories, meet ups, even co-hosting fashion podcast episodes. Her collaborative comic with artist Decora Demon, Emptying the Clips, got an honorable mention for the 2022 MICE Mini Grant. Besides that, she has sold her art both domestically and internationally at anime convention fashion shows, alt fashion stores and pop ups in Harajuku. Quimby’s, Howling Pages, and Lion’s Tooth Books sell her comics on consignment. Her personal style has brought her to model for alternative Japanese brands such as acdc rag, listen flavor, hypercore the list goes on. Outside of her artistic pursuits she loves to cuddle her cats and watch pro-wrestling.
